Amazing Ad Concept: Sponsored Heroes By Roberto Vergati Santos
Superheroes in my opinion are one of the few famous fictional characters out there. Imagine growing up knowing how Superman, Batman, Flash and other well known superhero characters fit in to our society. In our minds they are so real that it made us feel that we know them so well. So imagine seeing your favorite superhero endorsing a certain brand, how would that affect you as a consumer? I don’t see this concept as something impossible but rather it will be costly because of the copyright. Some may raise eyebrows about this idea, specially the comic books fanatics. But in an advertising point of view this is a out of the box concept.
That’s why after seeing a post from an FB creative page featuring the works of Sir Roberto Vergati Santos with this amazing concept of brand endorsement it gave me the creative pulse to blog about it. I am not a professional blogger and doing this is something personal for me. I want to post something that taps my attention and allows me to share something interesting regarding the advertising world. So let me showcase today, probably my most favorite collection of images that I found after browsing the internet. Superb visuals and strong concept to back it up. Imagine if one day capitalism reaches the point, where the big brands starts to sponsor the superheroes. How would this influence their images? Based on this hypothesis, I decided to experiment with some characters, and see what would be the results of such idea. source
I hope you guys enjoyed this collection as much as I did. Brand endorsement is a big step for businesses out there. Because it allows you to give the brand an actual representation of who it is it as a person. Mostly they choose famous celebrities where they can see their business can be associated positively. Endorsement gives the brand someone to voice out their latest marketing pitch. That’s why seeing this collection woke up the advertising geek sleeping inside me because it is a really good concept. I’m actually looking forward to see a brand pursuing this idea and actually seeing it through. Creating an actual campaign that revolves around a famous, strong fictional superhero character.
